Dear Friends,
In Luke chapter 19, verse 10, we read that Jesus Christ - speaking about himself - said this: "the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” What amazing grace! What a wonderful Saviour!
CHURCH FAMILY NEWS
Correction! - The Coffee Morning scheduled for Saturday 25th January at Ibstock Baptist Church has been postponed. A rearranged date will be publicised in due course.
Welcome Time: Monday 3rd February, at Heather Village Hall. Anytime between 2 and 4pm. Do come if you can, and invite a friend to come with you.
Growth Groups: We resume in the first week of February
If you haven't been to one of these groups before, why not give it some thought?
We meet with the aim of growing together in our knowledge and love of God - through looking at the Bible together, sharing and praying for one another. This term we will be focusing on the Old Testament book of 1 Samuel. All welcome!
"The Bible Course": starting on Friday 7th February, 7pm: This is an eight-session course helping you explore the BIG story.
"Whether you’re well versed in Scripture or new to the Bible, The Bible Course offers a superb overview of the world’s best-selling book. The course will increase your confidence, equip you to read the Bible better and help you to see its relevance to daily life. Over eight interactive sessions, it combines video teaching, group discussion, personal reflection and daily readings.
"Meeting people in groups, where everyone shares their thoughts and experiences, lies at the heart of The Bible Course as everyone learns from each other."
Claire Hartropp will be leading this course for us. The course will be meeting weekly from Friday 7th February, at 7pm: at The Rectory, Ibstock. All welcome! (Each session will last for around one hour.)
We ran this course in 2023, and those who came found it very helpful. So, it is great that Claire is running it again this year.
Are interested? If so, do please contact Claire - she would love to hear from you!
